3 Private Members’ Bills introduced; discussed, withdrawn

SRINAGAR: As many as three Private Members’ Bills were introduced for discussion in the Upper House on Friday. The members withdrew their Bills after threadbare discussion and satisfactory reply from the Government.
The Bills which were introduced in the House are included ” A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Ranbir Panel Code, Samvat, 1989″ ( L.C Private Member’s Bill No. 01 of 2016) introduced by Naresh Kumar Gupta, “A Bill to amend Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Beggary Act, 1960” (L.C Private Member’s Bill No. 06 of 2016) introduced by Qaisar Jamsheed Lone and “A Bill to provide for ensuring transparency in Public Procurement of goods and services by streamlining the procedure in inviting processing and acceptance of tenders by Procurement Entities and for matters related thereto” (L.C Private Member’s Bill No. 09 of 2016) introduced by Dr. Shehnaz Ganai.
