JAMMU: Police on Wednesday apprehended three drug peddlers and recovered 2,300 intoxicating capsules and 300 tablets from their possession.
According to report, a team from Police Station Kanachak during Naka checking at Mishriwala stopped one Wagon-R car bearing temporary registration No JMU/BF-9457, which was coming from Jammu towards Mishriwala. On seeing the Naka party, the driver of the car tried to flee from the spot. The Naka party chased him and was able to stop the car. On search, police recovered 2300 intoxicating capsules and 300 tablets from the possession of driver Subash Singh, son of Baj Singh, resident of Purkhoo and his two accomplices namely Rajiv Singh alias Sonu, son of Karam Singh and Surinder Singh, son of Balwant Singh, resident of Mishriwala.
Police has registered a case vide FIR No. 102/2016 under Section 48 A Excise Act and started investigation.
