JAMMU: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan, on behalf of Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, today informed the Legislative Assembly that as many as 29,885 ration card holders are drawing their monthly ration under NFSA/MMSFES in Sonawari Constituency.
Replying to a Question by Mohammad Akbar Lone in the Legislative Assembly, the minister further informed that the process of issuing ration cards to the consumers is underway in the State. He said ration cards are being done only after the fidelity check of the beneficiaries. “The ration cards are being provided to all the eligible households as per the census of 2011.
Complaints, if any, with regard to the issuance of ration cards and availability of ration are being dealt by the department appropriately”, Minister assured in response to supplementary question.
