26/11 martyrs remembered on sixth anniversary at Dogra Shaurya Stamb, Amphalla

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association on Wednesday observed the sixth anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attack that shook the entire nation in 2008, as Pakistani terrorists stormed prime hotels and city landmarks killing 166 people.
To remember the martyrs of 26/11, the association held a programme at Dogra Shaurya Stamb, Amphalla, here which was organised by its President Ved Gandotra.
President Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF), Justice (retd) Pavitar Singh was the Chief Guest.
Floral tributes were paid to the martyrs and candles were lighted in their memory.
The members also observed two minutes silence in the honour of the martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, the members of the association expressed their anguish against the Pakistan Government who helped the attackers.
They said that it was a matter of the shame of the then State as well as Central Government, which was unable to safeguard the lives of the innocent persons in Mumbai.
They asked the Central Government to take every possible step to avoid such an attack in the future and give befitting reply to any such attack. The members said that we were a peaceful nation but will not tolerate such like sabotage.
They also remembered all martyrs and freedom fighters who laid their lives in the freedom struggle.
They also pledge to work hard to develop the India of their dreams.
The prominent persons present on the occasion were State President, Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan, Working President JPPF, M.S Katoch, Vinod Tak, M.L Sharma, Prabha Kapahi, Pritam Sharma, Rajinder Bhagat and M.R Bargotra.
