JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Fencing Association on Friday announced its State team for participation in the forthcoming Junior National (boys and girls) Championship to be held at Billaspur in Chattisgarh from 7th to 10th January.
Earlier, the team underwent screening conducted by the State Sports Council, here on Friday. Led by Joint Secretary, Shiv Kumar Sharma, the screening committee comprised international fencer, Rashid Ahmed, Krupali Singh, Arjun Choudhary and Divisional Sports Officer, Rajan Sharma.
Prior to the screening, the selected probable attended to a 21-day coaching camp which was sponsored by the State Sports Council.
The team is accompanied by State Sports Council Fencing Coach, Shotu Lal Sharma as coach while Amit and Ekta are managers.
The Team: BOYS: Ravi Sharma, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Teja Singh, Shubam Sharma, Javed Ahmed, Vansh Mahajan, Karun Bakshi, Abdul Rafiq, Tariq Hussain, Parth Jamwal, Ranvijay Singh.
GIRLS: Dhruva Gupta, Anchal Gupta, Kayal Kumari, Deeksha Pandey, Shriya Sudan, Rupali Sharma, Sindhiya Sharma, Arushi Sharma, Akanksha Sabharwal, Shilpa Lalotra, Mokshi Sharma, Jaspreet Kaur and Priya Khajuira.
