JAMMU: The Jammu Police on Wednesday arrested a youth for raping a 21-year-old maid in posh Trikuta Nagar locality.
“A complaint was lodged by 21-year-old victim Prerna (name changed), daughter of Ratti Dass, resident of Bilaspur, at present Sector 3 Trikuta Nagar that a youth identified as Varun Kumar outraged her modesty, following which, we acted swiftly and arrested him,” SDPO East Dy SPO Rafiq Manhas said. He further informed that the accused, Varun Kumar (22) son of Balbir Singh Sangra, resident of Trikuta Nagar has been arrested. FIR (188/14) under section 376 RPC has been registered.
