21 special polling stations for Kashmiri migrants

JAMMU: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made provision of 21 special polling stations in district Jammu to enable Kashmiri migrants to cast their vote in person.
Besides this, four special polling stations would be set up in New Delhi and one in Udhampur to facilitate the Kashmiri migrant voters living there to cast their vote.
As per Assistant Returning Officer (M), Jammu Kashmiri Migrants those who wish to cast their vote shall have to fill form -M and give choice of polling station at which they would prefer to cast their vote.
The Kashmiri migrant voters can get the M- Form at Jagti, Zonal Office Nanak Nagar, Near Dudha Dhari Mandir, Opposite Bata Showroom Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, Office of Camp Commandant Muthi, Zonal Office, Janipur-A, Near Dream Land Public School, Janipur (Disco Morh) and Shanker Building near Pencil Factory, Akhnoor Road, Jammu from 2nd to 9th November, 2014.
A team of Booth Level Officers (BLO)s along with Zonal Officers/ Camp Commandants and other staff shall be stationed at all these places from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM during these days for assisting the voters to fill, verify and attestation of M- Form so that they may not face any inconvenience.
The M- Form would be provided at these locations on the scheduled dates only to the voters of those constituencies which are going to polls in first and second phase i.e. Kupwara, Lolab, Handwara, Langate, Bandipura, Sonwari, Kangan, Ganderbal, Noorabad, Kulgan, Homeshallibugh and Devsar.
Only registered migrant voters are eligible to fill the M-Form and vote at special polling booths.
Meanwhile, the Kashmiri migrant voters who wish to cast their vote through postal ballot may apply in Form 12-C and submit in the Office of ARO(Migrants) Jammu, Udhampur and Delhi so that the postal ballots are dispatched to their home addresses. Also the inclusions/ corrections shall be made upto last date of nomination for a constituency concerned and therefore migrants can fill form 6,7,8 and 8-A, if their name is missing from the electoral roll.
The special polling stations for migrants of Jammu District would be established at Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar, Government Engineering College Canal Road, Director School Education Office Muthi, Directorate of Economics and Statistics Deptt, Janipur, Migrant School Purkhoo, Agriculture Complex Talab Tillo, Migrant School Roop Nagar, Migrant School Nagrota, Government HSS Migrant Jagti Jammu-A, Govt HSS Migrant Jammu-B, Panchayat Ghar, Barnai, Agriculture University Complex, Udhaywala, Jammu 13 J and K Board of School Education Rehari Jammu, Govt Middle School (Migrants) Jagti, Community Hall Jagti, Govt Girls Middle School Chak Chanherwan, Chinore Chowk, Govt Girls Pry School (Gangyal), Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Ponichack, Govt Boys Secondary School Sarwal, Govt High School (Sagoon) Miransahib and Government Higher Secondary School Channi.
