RAJOURI : Over 20 passengers were injured on Sunday during a head-on collision between a truck and bus near Manjakote on Jammu – Poonch National Highway.
The video coach bus bearing registration No JKI02AF-6167 which was on its way from Poonch to Jammu collided with a truck bearing registration No JK02AM-1911 coming from the opposite side. Over 20 persons were injured including three critically.
Immediately on receipt of information the SHO Manjakote Mohd Khan reached the spot alongwith his team and shifted the injured to Manjakote hospital with the assistances of locals. Three injured namely Abdul Rashid son of Mohd Sharief, Mohd Raquib son of Mohd Sadiqand Chand Bali wife of Surinder Kumar whose condition was critical, were referred to District Hospital Rajouri.
Drivers of both the vehicles managed to escape from the spot. The police have registered the case FIR 99/14 under section 279/337 RPC for investigation and have seized both the vehicles.
