“Someday my sons will be in my position and it will be their turn. How they treated me is how their children will treat them,” says a 86-year-old with moist eyes. People he loved the most kicked him out of the house after taking his property. It’s been 11 years since he saw them.
This is the end of humanity. The woman who kept you in her womb, nurtured you, today is told to leave the house because she is not needed anymore. The man who took care of your every need all his life, is still careful not to defame you. Our culture says parents are next to God. Is this the way we treat our God? Prayers won’t help, but blessings from the elderly surely will.
How can a person be so selfish that those who gave us our lives are now told to live their life on their own? It is true – “Na baap bada, na bhaiya, sabse bada rupaiya”.
