JAMMU: DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Ashkoor Wani on Wednesday granted in-situ promotions to Head Constables (HCs), Special Grade Constables (Sgcts) and constables of Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range.
In compliance to PHQ order No. 250 of 2015 dated 29th January, 2015, Range Police Headquarters Jammu constituted a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for release of In-situ promotions in respect of various ranks of Jammu-Samba- Kathua Range under the chairmanship of Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG J/K Range.
The DPC met at Range Police Headquarters Jammu on 24th March, and 16th June, 2016 and examined total cases of 10 HCs, 251 Sgcts and three Constables who were otherwise eligible for grant of In-situ promotion.
Out of which eight HCs, 200 Sgcts and three Constables have secured qualifying marks and declared fit for availing the benefit of In-situ promotion and rest of the cases are kept due to various reasons.
Ashkoor Wani congratulated all such promoted officials along with their families and made an appeal to them to work with even more professionalism and dedication so as to make the organisation proud.
