SRINAGAR: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, J and K, L. Mohanti granted functional promotion to three police personnel of different ranks and In-situ promotions to 13 Constables in J and K Armed Police.
The promotion orders of these officials were issued after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by ADGP Armed J and K found them eligible for their next promotion. The other members of the Departmental Promotion Committee comprised of M.Y Kichloo SSP, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed, Junaid Wali, DySP (Pers) APHQ, Mohammad Shafi CPO APHQ, Farooq Ahmad DySP (M), ADO APHQ and Bashir Ahmad Peer Assistant Accounts Officer APHQ.
Among the officials who have been granted functional promotions, ASI Mohd Yaqoob has been promoted as SI, Sgct Firdous Ahmad as HC and Constable Fayaz Ahmad has been promoted as Sgct.
The Constables who have been granted in-situ promotions retrospectively are Nazir Ahmad, Sunil Kumar, Rinkoo Ji, Ab. Qayoom, Kulbir Singh, Ab. Salam, Rajeev Kumar, Fayaz Ahmad, Aijaz Ahmad, Mohd Amin, Ab. Rouf, Mohd Skinder and Constable Mohd Shafi.L. Mohanti congratulated the newly promoted officers and officials and extended greetings to their family members. He exhorted upon the promoted officials to work with the same zeal and dedication and to become the role model for their juniors.
