1,500 patients treated in free medical camp in Anantnag

ANANTNAG: A free medical camp was on Saturday organised by Qazi Nisar Memorial Hospital at Sherbagh Anantnag.
The motive of the camp was to provide free consultation, medicine, investigation especially to recently affected flood victims of the different areas of valley. About 1500 patients who visited the daylong camp were investigated and accordingly treated by specialist doctors of the hospital.
Medicines worth Rs 1 lakh were also distributed free of cost to the patients.
The camp was supported by Assistant District Medical Officer (AYUSH) Health Department organizer of the camp Dr. Shahir Ahmad Haji thanked Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag for providing full support in organising the said camp.
He also thanked medical agencies who also contributed in providing free medicine to the needy patients.
