14-member J&K team participates in Int’l Karate C’ship

JAMMU: J and K Karate Team is participating in India Independence International Karate Championship being held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi from 12th to 14th August, 2016 on the 69th Anniversary of India Independence.
The tournament is being organised by Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do India approved by Karate Association of India (KAI) affiliated with World Karate Federation (WKF).
A team of 14 players from J and K along with Coach Ambedkar Gupta (President, AKAJK, National Karate Team Coach, is participating in the ongoing tournament.
The players Abhikshit Mahajan, Gourish Pratap Singh, Sushan Sharma, Bhuvan Vasudev, Shashwat Saproo, Mujataba-ul-Hassan, Rhythm Sharma, Fiaz Ahmed, Shahbaz Ahmed, Ayush Gupta, Ansh Gupta, Arush Puri, Prakhar Jyoti, Abhiraj Singh will participate in their respective categories in the championship.
A total of 2,500 players from all over India are participating and celebrating the Independence Day and feeling proud that now karate is in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
