KISHTWAR: The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohammad Javed Khan today suspended 122 officials who were found absent from the duty during surprise inspections conducted by district administration teams across the district.
To check absenteeism in the government offices, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar had deputed ten teams of senior District Officers to conduct surprise inspection of the government offices across the district.
The inspection teams, comprising District Officers and respective SDMs and Tehsildars, inspected government offices in Kishtwar town, Dool, Drabshalla, Bunjwah, Sarthal, Palmar, Padder, Chatroo, Warwan, Marwah and Dachhan areas.
In a total, 122 employees including teachers, VSAs, para medical, clerical and field staff was found absent from their duties.
During the inspection, some dispensaries and health centres were found closed. Taking strong cognisance, the DDC placed all absent employees under suspension and initiated enquiry against them.
