Zulfkar reaffirms Govt’s commitment of better life for downtrodden, needy

RAJOURI: Minister for consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, on Saturday hosted an Iftar party for orphans.
“I feel privileged to be part of this special occasion and it is a blessing of Almighty for me to share Iftar with these beautiful children who have been deprived of love and care of their parents, “he said while interacting with the orphans of Bal-Ashram and Nari-Naketan of Rajouri District.
Reaffirming government’s commitment of ensuring a safe and secure environment for these orphans, the minister said that a number of innovative steps are being taken up to extend equal opportunities of progress and prosperity to such people of the society.
He exhorted upon the people to work collectively for welfare and development of these orphans as this is our moral duty.
Special arrangements were made on the occasion for the invitees to offer Maghrib prayers.
The participants, later, prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
The minister also extended greetings to people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid -Ul -Fitr. He expressed hope that the day would be a harbinger of communal harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Mumtaz Choudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajeshwar Singh, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and PDD besides other district officers and prominent citizens were present at the occasion.
