Zorawar, Saraswati Clubs win in Police T20

REASI: Zorawar Cricket Club and Saraswati Cricket Club on Sunday won their league matches in the ongoing Police T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Reasi under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here. In today’s outing, Zorawar Cricket Club made it a superb six-run win against District Police XI. Batting first, after District Police XI won the toss and opted to field, Zorawar Cricket Club scored 118 runs (14 extras) for the loss of three wickets in 15 overs. Movien was the top batsman with 36 runs off 37 balls while Shadab and Rahil contributed 27 each. For District Police XI, Mohd Ashraf picked two wicket and Vinod took one. In reply, District Police XI failed to chase the target and managed to score 112 runs (13 extras) for the loss of seven wickets in 15 overs, thus lost the match by six runs. Vinod and Vikas made 25 and 21 runs respectively while Surinder chipped oin with 13 runs off eight balls. Shadab grabbed three wickets for Zorawar Club while Movien took one. For his all-round display, Shadab was declared Man of the Match. The match was witnessed by Kabla Singh as a Chief Guest.
Meanwhile in another match Saraswati Cricket Club outplayed Reasi Cricket Club by eight wickets. Batting first, Reasi Cricket Club made 130 (two extras) for the loss of six wickets in 15 overs Nadeem was the top scorer with 27 runs while Amir and Yogesh added 24 and 22 runs respectively to the total. For Saraswati Cricket Club, Ashok captured two wickets, while Mandeep, Akhil and Kapil took one each.
In reply, Saraswati Cricket Club managed to score 132 runs (22 extras) for the loss of two wickets in 15 overs, thus won the match by eight wickets. Kapil played a fine inning of 50 runs off 25 balls while Ashok made unbeaten 43 off 26 balls and Vikas contributed 13 runs to the total. Arun and Nadeem scalped one wickets each for Reasi Cricket Club. Kapil was declared Man of the Match for his best performance. In second match Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman was the Chief Guest.
