Zorawar Club, MBS win ties in Hockey

JAMMU: Zorawar Club and MBS Club Simbal Camp won their respective matches to strengthen their position in the league round of the Senior Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, at KK Hakku Stadium, here on Tuesday.
In the first match, MBS defeated Ajit Club Gole Gujral 3-2. Ramnik Singh scored the first goal for MBS in the 15th minute while Gaganjit Singh struck twice in the 23rd and 26th minutes. However, Ajit Club fought back but could make it a win. Gaganjeet Singh (40th) and Harjeet Singh (44th) were the scorers.
In other match of the day, Zorawar Club trounced Kathua Hockey Club Lachipora 4-2. Shivay Vaid (14thand 50th) and Lakhvinder Singh (25th and 35th) were the scorers. Fpr Kathua Club, Sandeep Singh (28th) and Rajesh Singh (59th).
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Satvir Singh, Iqbal Singh, Joginder Singh, Karanjit Singh and R.S Reen.
FIXTURE: Hiranagar Club shall take on Vijaypur Warriors at 1:30 PM and Khalsa Club Gole Gujral shall face Samba Club at 2:30 PM.
