UDHAMPUR: Zonal Level Inter-school Tournament of Jib Zone for under-14 years boys in the disciplines of kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho and wrestling began here at Mini Stadium Udhampur on Tuesday.
The Chief Guest, Poonam Sharma, Zonal Physical Education Officer Jib declared the tournament open. About 148 boys drawn from 15 institutions of Jib Zone participated in the tournament.
The tournament is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Udhampur under the supervision of Poonam Sharma.
All the matches were officiated by Naveen Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Shashi Bala, Sunil Dutt, Sanjeev Sharma, Raman Gupta, Rishi Sharma, Bandna Sharma, Anjana Sharma, Reena Gupta, Angrez Singh and Jaipal Singh.
Today’s Results:
Volleyball: Government High School (GHS) Rown defeated Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Barta. Kabaddi: GHSS Barta beat AOC Convent HSS Udhampur. Kho-Kho: GHS Kawa blanked GHS Sattani.
Wrestling 20-25 Kg: Sourav of HS Sattani defeated Sunny of MS Kotli Bala; 30-35 Kg: Imran of Prashant Public School beat Sachin of Prashant Public School; 40-45 Kg: Nitish of HS Sattani blanked Chander Kant of MS Barrian.
