Dear Editor,
With WHO declaring the Zika outbreak as a public health emergency of international concern, efforts seem to be on to develop a vaccine. However, the chances of a quick breakthrough seem remote. It is disappointing that there are no measures to control mosquitoes, especially Aedes, the vector for both dengue and Zika viruses. One continues to still see large-scale unhygienic conditions in most of our urban centres.
