JAMMU: GRP Jammu on Thursday busted a Zaher Khurani gang by apprehending the kingpin and his associate from Bari Brahmana and Jammu Railway Station respectively.
According to reports, Railway Police Jammu arrested the kingpin of the aforesaid gang namely Babloo, son of Ganesh Parsad, resident of Bankatwah from Bari Brahmna area and his associate Raju, son of Rampaul, resident of Khuda Khas Tehsil and District Hardola Uttar Pardesh.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 09/2016 under Sections 379 and 328 RPC has been registered at Police Station GRP Jammu. During sustained interrogation, the arrested accused confessed that they use to roam in the periphery of Railway Station Jammu and trains, and rob people of their belongings after giving them intoxicants mixed in tea and biscuits. In a brief statement, SSP Railways Rajinder Gupta said that the investigation of the case is going on and more information/recoveries are likely to be executed.
