Yudhvir emphasizes upon preserving temple heritage in J&K
Five-Day Ram Katha concludes successfully

JAMMU: The five -day Ram Katha organized by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President, concluded successfully on Saturday at Shri Haumam Mandir, Gummat, Jammu.
The Katha was performed by Pt Sunil Sharma, who threw light on the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Shri Ram and the significance of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Hundreds of people of nearby areas attended the Katha, which was a resounding success. The Katha was marked by its spiritual fervor and its emphasis on the importance of Ram Rajya, a society based on the principles of righteousness, justice, and equality. In his address, Yudhvir Sethi thanked Pt Sunil Sharma for delivering a spiritually uplifting Katha. He said that the Ram Katha had served to rekindle the faith of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in Lord Ram and his ideals. He said that the Katha had also inspired people to work towards the establishment of Ram Rajya in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said temples are our heritage and we must invoke some efforts to save the pristine glory of our rich heritage. “Temples are not just religious places, but also cultural and historical landmarks. They represent our rich heritage and culture. We must do everything we can to protect and preserve our temples,” he added.
Sethi said that the Ram Katha was a fitting prelude to the consecration of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to participate in large numbers in the consecration ceremony.
The senior BJP leader emphasized upon maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in the Jammu region while asserting that these are the hallmark of the City of Temples. He added that in the current times when the anti national and anti-social elements are hell bent upon disturbing the communal fabrique, it is essential for the people of Jammu not to be led away by the provocative statements of such elements and maintain communal harmony at all costs.
Among others who were present include Priya Sethi (ex Minister), Vijay Gupta (President Gumnat Bazar Association), Sanjay Mahey (ex-Corporator), Gulshan Mahajan (Ex-corporator), Harvinder Singh (President Steps Traders Association Gummat), Parveen Kerni (President East Mandal), BJP leader Vipin Sharma, Chakshu Kapoor (General Secretary Mahila Morcha Jammu District) and Anuradha Sharma ( President East Mandal).
