Youth has to play pivotal role in resolving Kashmir issue: Yogendra Yadav

JAMMU: Stressing that youth has to play pivotal role in resolving the Kashmir issue, Ex-Member of the National Executive Council of Aam Aadmi Party, Yogendra Yadav on Sunday appealed to youth to actively take part in building confidence in Kashmiri youth by taking some progressive measures through dialogue and by organising workshops.
Yadav was addressing youth conference organised at Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, here on Sunday. Yogendra stressed the need for progressive minded youth to adopt a more grass root oriented strategy with a better understanding of local problems of the Kashmiri people so that their message can resonate with the masses.
The Conference was organized by Rabinder Singh, PhD Research Scholar, JU to discuss about burning issues of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, I.D Khajuria, Member of Swaraj Abhiyan, said that both India and Pakistan should resolve Kashmir issue through bi-lateral talks. “Kashmir issue cannot be resolved through violence,” he said adding that the mistrust between India and Pakistan must be reduced in order to resolve the Kashmir issue, and to carry forward the peace process. Earlier, Dr. Masud Chaudhary, Patron Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, in his welcome address, highlighted the role of Yogendra in the upliftment of downtrodden section of the society. Emphasis was given on role of the youth to reduce trust gap between Kashmir and other parts of the country .
People from different parts and sections of the state including Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kashmir and Ladakh exchanged their views about Kashmir unrest.
It was unanimously decided that peaceful dialogue process should be there and security forces should use maximum restrain to control the situation.
Amongst others present were Gursimran Singh, Naresh Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Randeer Kaur, Ashwani Kumar, Murtaza, Mohit Gupta and Nasir Khan.
