SAMBA: Continuing with innovative interventions, the SVEEP activities in District Samba were dovetailed with the Blood Donation Camp which was organised on Wednesday in Govt. Degree College Samba. Deputy Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh, who is also the District Election Officer and Chairman Red Cross Society, was the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he exhorted the students, especially new voters, to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming Assembly elections and act as change makers to spread the message of electoral participation. He impressed upon the students to be the messengers who should spread this message to the general public in general and to their families and near ones in particular, at their respective places.
A signature campaign was organised in the college in which more than 500 students participated. Vivek Sharma, Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba who is Nodal Officer for SVEEP, presented a brief overview of various SVEEP activities of the district.
