KISHTWAR: A young labourer died after a shooting stone hit him while he was working on a road under PMGSY at Sarthal area of Kishtwar on Monday.
According to police sources, Yasir Ahmed son of Mohd Yaqoob resident of Seli , Kastigarh died after a shooting stone hit him while he was working as labour under PMGSY on Karool -Bhaghra Road at Sarthal area. When contacted SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir confirmed the death of one labourer in this tragic incident.
“As per the details, the deceased was working at the construction site when a shooting stone rolled down from a nearby hilltop and hit him resulting into serious injuries. After being hit by with the stone, other labourers working at the construction site raised alarm and shifted the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar where doctors declared him as brought dead,” SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir said. “After conducting all the legal formalities, dead body was handed over to family members for burial,” SSP added. Police has registered an FIR No 104/2016 under section 304-A RPC at Police Station Kishtwar and started investigation.
