Youth Congress organises ‘Hum Mein Hai Rajiv’ programme

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) remembered the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by offering floral tributes to his portrait and launched plantation drive.
In this connection an impressive function was organised at Durga Nagar, Jammu under the leadership of Pranav Shagotra-President PYC.
The programme titled ‘Hum Mein Hai Rajiv’ was organised by Hoshiyar Singh Chib, Lok Sabha General Secretary.
PYC President was accompanied by Chetan Wanchoo-Spokesperson, Ravi Kant- AYC President, Prateek Singh, Dushant Singh, Rahul Seth and Ravinder Choudhary- AYC General Secretaries.
Pranav said that the programme is conceived and conceptualised to propagate the thoughts and innovative initiative of the architect of modern India Rajiv Gandhi amongst the youth, farmers, women, labourers and every citizen of the country.
“It is the need of the hour that we inculcate Rajiv’s teachings on social equality, inclusive development and global peace,” he said.
He described Rajiv Gandhi as a great visionary leader who led the country towards the challenges of 21st century.
“It was the vision of Rajiv Gandhi that India has emerged as the leader in the world in information technology,” he said adding that it was because of Rajiv’s vision that whole world is looking towards India.
PYC President said that Pradesh Youth Congress is organising various programmes from 29th May to 20th August 2016 and today’s programme of
tree plantation is a part of ‘Hum Mein Hai Rajiv’
programme.
