Youth Club registers win in 3rd Christmas T-20

JAMMU: Youth Club Bhadarwah registered win and entered in the next round of ongoing Third Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup, played at Parade Cricket Ground, here on Wednesday.
In the first match of the day, Youth Club Bhadarwah defeated Young Star by five wickets.
Batting first, Young Star set a target of 127 runs with loss of ten wickets in 18 overs. Nitin (24), Akash (22 ) and Kewel (20) were the main scorers. Khalid and Mudassir shared three wickets each while Sheroj and Arshad took two each for Youth Club Bhadarwah.
In reply, Youth Club Bhaderwah achieved the target in 16 overs losing five wickets in progress. Shehbab was the main scorer with unbeaten 48 runs while Shehroj added 18 to the total. Nitin clinched three wickets and Sukhwinder took two for Young Star. Shehbab was declared Man of the Match.
The second match of the day was played Christian Sports XI and Country Cricket Academy.
Batting first, Christian Sports XI was bowled out for 154 runs in 18 overs. Vinod (43) and Anchal (40) were the main scorers. Sant Baksh was the wrecker-in-chief for Country Academy who clinched even wickets with his brilliant bowling performance. Anil and Yogesh shared one wicket each.
In reply, Country Academy XI scored 130 runs in 16 overs for the loss of four wickets. The match was called off in 17th over due to the poor visibility by the Umpires. Later, the organizing committee announced that the match shall be resumed on some other day and the next date and timing will be communicated to both teams.
Today’s matches were officiated by Sanju, Suhail Yusuf, Vinod and Naresh Kumar. Vice President CSO, Victor Sotra was the Chief Guest in today’s matches who was introduced with the participating teams. He conveyed best wishes to the participating teams for their best performance in the tournament.
