Young Star Club Bhallesa lifts volleyball title

BHADARWAH: To promote sporting activities in rural areas and to give raw energy of the youth a proper direction, MCC Bhalessa in collaboration with 26 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Battalion based at Sohanda area organised National Integration Volleyball Championship 2016 at Government Higher Secondary School Chilly, here.
In all, 16 teams from Bhadarwah, Doda, Thathri, Bhatyas, Gwari, Gandoh, Dhadkie and Chilly Ball-Chilly Paie participated in the two days tournament.
The final match of the event was played between Young Star Club Bhatyas Bhallesa and Chanyas Club Bhalesa which was won by Young Star Club.
Major Shukla of 26 RR distributed cash prizes of Rs 4,500 and Rs 3,000 among the winner and runner up teams respectively.
Major Shukla appreciated the youth for their active participation in the event.
“The participating teams have enjoyed playing this sport and we are sure they will continue doing so. More sports events will be organised by 26 RR in near future to provide a platform to the youths,” Officer added.
President Contractor Association Gandoh Bhalesa, Sheikh Maneer Ahmed congratulated the winning team. He advocated the importance of sports in our life for healthy mind and body.
On the occasion, Muddasir of team Chanyas Club Bhalessa was declared as best defender, Shabir Ahmed (SI) JK Police from Bhadarwah was declared as Player of the Tournament, Altaf Naik as best all rounder of the tournament, Safder as Best Attacker of Tournament. Later, vote of thanks was presented by Ashraf Kohli.
