JAMMU: Outplaying Engineer Eleven by three goals to nil (3-0) in the league match, the formidable team of Young Rovers Football Club clinched win in the First Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Gold Cup Football Tournament 2015, organized by State Sports Club in collaboration with J&K Bank and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at Mini Stadium Parade, here on Wednesday. In today’s match, Member Legislative Council (MLC) Ashok Khajuria was the Chief Guest while Mahant Rameshwar Dass of Ram Mandir Purani Mandi, Pawan Khajuria State, Narinder Singh and Harinder Gupta State General Secretaries BJP and Munish Sharma Prabhari All Morcha BJP J and K were the Guests of Honour.
The special invitees were Vijay Gupta President Kanak Mandi Traders Association, Sanjay Jain President Residency Road Association and Mohan Lal Gupta President Vivekanand Marg Association.
MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta who is also the Chairman of the Organising Committee along with Rakesh Khanna and Naresh Dogra welcomed the Chief Guest and presented him a memento.
The Chief Guest and other dignitaries were introduced with the teams before the start of the play.The Chief Guest lauded the initiative of Organizing Committee and stressed on the need to have more such tournaments at Sub District levels to involve the youth of the entire region in the sports activities.
