YCET students visit PDD’s Central Transformer Repair Workshop

JAMMU: To impart first hand industrial exposure and acquaint the students with latest maintenance processes used in repairing transformers, an industrial visit was conducted at Central Transformer Repair Workshop, Power Development Department (PDD) Narwal, here on Friday.

Fourth Semester, Electrical Engineering students of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) visited the workshop.

The budding engineers were demonstrated how different maintenance processes work and their inter linkages for desired quality output. The students had an intensive interaction with Executive Engineer, Roshan Lal and other Workshop personnel Sanjeev Sharma, Mansoor, R.S Sudan and Sumit Puri who explained in detail the maintenance functions involved in repairing transformers.

The students were enthusiastic in meeting Executive Engineer Roshan Lal and his technical team. The students expressed great satisfaction after learning the latest in the field. The industrial experience was a definite value addition in their professional knowledge.

Dinesh Gupta, COD Electrical Engineering, and A.K Kaul, TPO accompanied the students.
