YCET conducts industrial visit to Intex

JAMMU: In pursuance of search for academic excellence and its application in corporate sector, the Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organised an industrial visit of its First Sem Electrical and Computer Engineering students to Intex. Engineering students were received by the officials of Intex including the Unit Head, O.P Sharma Manager and Personnel Manager, HRD/Operations, Manmohan Singh.
Top ranking officials in an interactive session, briefed students about the company’s profile, infrastructural facilities, its achievements and vision in current economic scenario including the functioning of three-different units, plant layout from production, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control Department (QCD) Labeling, packaging to logistics. The required employability skills and prospects of placement were explored by the students.
The students were taken to different parts of the plant by Rajesh Rohila-Manager Production. He briefed them about different functioning and methodologies being used in the entire process of manufacturing of multimedia speakers, PCB’s, Woofers and Tweeters used in the operations of computers, home theatres and other audio systems.
The Industrial visit was coordinated by Dinesh Gupta, Assistant Professor Electronics, Sakshi Sharma, Rhia Mahajan (COD’s), I.S Walia and Bhawani Salathia from Training and Placement Cell.
