KATRA : A Yatri who came from Ludhiana Punjab, for the Holy Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi, was hit on Saturday morning by an over speeding tipper at Bus Stand Katra.
The Yatri identified as Divanshu (25) son of Rakesh resident of Ludhiana who got down from the bus while unloading his luggage, was hit by a negligently driven tipper bearing registration No JK14C-6988 and seriously injured. He was immediately shifted to Katra Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Katra Police have seized the tipper and arrested its driver namely Som Raj son of Parmanand resident of Dansal for investigation.
