JAMMU: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) members, who have been sitting on an indefinite protest in front of Raj Bhavan, here on Saturday met the Governor N.N. Vohra. The delegation was led by its President Pt. R.K Bhat.
The protestors requested Governor’s intervention for immediate filling up of the remaining 4,000 posts out of sanctioned 6000 jobs under Prime Minister’s Special Employment Package for Kashmiri Migrants including the selection of pending list of teachers and 221 writ petitioners.
The Governor gave a patient hearing to their demands and directed the Chief Secretary to immediately hold a meeting to resolve all pending issues which are thwarting the speedy filling up of all available posts for Kashmiri migrants.
The Governor will review this matter with Chief Secretary and all concerned officers in a meeting to be held at the Secretariat on 27th January, 2016.
