KATRA: Wrestler Raj Kumar of Delhi won Fadya Kesari Dangal Title 2015 defeating wrestler Bobari of Sarore in the main bout of the 47th Annual Fadya Dangal held at village Fadya in Reasi.
Dangal was organized by Fadya Dangal Committee in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association (JKISWA).
The event was held under the overall supervision of President JKISWA Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Sham Lal Sharma.
In all, 33 bouts were played in this one day long Dangal.
Treasurer, Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the Chief Guest who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runners-up wrestlers.
Social worker Bittu Raina and Chairman Technical Committee Katra Indian Style Wrestling Association Deepak Wazir were the Guests of Honour.
Winner Raj Kumar was awarded with cash prize of Rs 6,000 while runner-up Bobari awarded with cash prize of Rs 5,000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Sham Lal Sharma.
The second main bout was won by Sagar of Delhi who defeated Krishan of Rohtak in Harayana while third bout was won by Balwan Singh of Mahore (Reasi) who defeated Javed of Meerut in UP and fourth bout was won by Nazir Ali of Domana Akhara Jammu who defeated Vikas of Delhi.
Members and technical officials who helped for the conduct of the event included Sham Lal Sharma, Sarpanch and President of Fadya Dangal Committee, Rattan Lal Sharma, Panch Talab Hussian, Hyder Ali (Chairman), Suraj Din, Mansa Ram, Som Raj, Mohd. Fareed, Deepak Wazir, Manjoor Hussian, Bittu Raina, Vijay Singh, Lal Singh and Murli Dhar (Munna).
