Through your esteemed column, I want to remind that every year the World Environment Day which is commonly known as Eco Day or (WED) is celebrated worldwide on 5th June 2017 and it was designated by the UN General Assembly in 1972. World Environment Day (WED) is very important day in our life as it is the day when we get aware of issues related to our environment and pledge
to keep it safe for our better future. It is being celebrated for years world wide with lot of creative activities and enthusiasm to bring positive changes in the environment. It was first celebrated in 1973 with the theme of ‘Only One Earth’. This event is celebrated globally because this issue cannot be solved individually by one country. It is a global issue and needs to be solved globally by the involvement of all the countries world wide. It can be done only when we keep our eyes open and be active to bring some positive changes in ourselves and environment. We should make our children aware about this issue so that they can be the active agents of this campaign in future.
