JAMMU: Hotel Country Inn and Suites by Radisson Jammu in coordination with Non-Governmental Organization The – Sara conducted a sensitization workshop on sexual harassment of women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) for the employees of Hotel Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Jammu.
The session was conducted by Gurjeet Kour Ghuman President of The – Sara.
Gurjeet said, “Sexual harassment at workplace does not only results in mental and/or physical damage to the person harassed; but also, seriously curtails opportunities at work by creating a discriminatory work environment”.
Session began with welcome address by Praveen Sharma, General Manager Hotel Country Inn & Suites Jammu.
The session covered aspects related to salient features of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, hearing and addressing complaints regarding sexual harassment and spreading awareness about gender-related issues and functioning of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
Other facilitators of the workshop included Manya Sethi, Human Resource Manager at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Jammu.
