REASI: In continuation with Police Raising Day week celebrations, IRP 1st Battalion, Reasi on Tuesday organised a workshop on drug abuse at Battalion Headquarter Reasi. Commandant IRP 1st Battalian-Tej Ram Katoch inaugurated the workshop.
The workshop was attended by SP IRP 1st Battalion-H. K Nazar, SP IRP 1st Battalion-Ravi Gupta, DySP-Imtiaz Ahmad, a large number of officials and jawans of the battalion and local people.
Resource persons delivered detailed lectures on the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse among today’s youth and how it affected their standing in society. Apart from the damage caused to the physique and the mental condition of an individual, drug abuse may also lead to one’s loss of prestige and even lead to insolvency. They also highlighted its preventive measures.
Speaking on the occasion Katoch said that the main aim of the workshop was to spread awareness among all about the ill effects of drug abuse.
