Work with enhanced synergy, coordination to uproot narco-terrorism: IGP Jammu to officers

RAJOURI: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Anand Jain has directed the officers to work with enhanced synergy and coordinated efforts to uproot the narco-terrorism in the Rajouri-Poonch Range.
IGP Jammu on Wednesday reviewed the crime position and over all functioning of District Police Rajouri with all supervisory officers including SHOs, investigating officers at DPL Rajouri this afternoon.
IGP Jammu Zone was accompanied by DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Haseeb Mughal, received by SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh, and his team of officers besides he was given a guard of honour at DPL Rajouri, on his arrival.
IGP Jammu interacted with Police officers/personnel and later chaired meeting with Police officers besides interacted with the civil society members of Rajouri district.
During meeting, the disposal of cases registered during the current year and previous pendency was reviewed, discussed and instructions issued.
IGP Jammu directed the officers to augment measures for improving capability of personnel in dealing with Narco cases /UAPA cases. He impressed upon the officers that they need to contribute more by conducting supervisory meetings and by ensuring closer supervision of important cases, especially NDPS/UAPA cases to get better results for the remaining period of the year.
He advised them to improve the quality of investigation and prosecution to increase the convictions. He emphasized for regular interactions/briefing of the subordinates at different levels.
He said that people’s cooperation in the fight against narco-terrorism and other crimes is must.
He directed jurisdictional officers to seek people’s cooperation in the fight against drug abuse and other social crimes. Dr Haseeb Mughal highlighted measures adopted to strengthen security grid and improve policing.
Moreover, IGP Jammu Anand Jain interacted with the civil society members made an appeal for maintenance of law/order in their respective areas. The people dwell at length about police related issues.
IGP Jammu emphasised that Youth should be encouraged to participate in sports and constructive activities; he added.
