Srinagar: All woman police flying squads will be deployed in Srinagar city at sensitive places to check crime against woman.
As a part of counter measure to put check on crime against women, Srinagar police has taken up step of deploying all women police flying squad for assistance at various sensitive places. To begin with City police will deploy all women police flying squad vehicles in coaching hub of Parray pora and Baghat areas to assist girl students in the area. Later the squads will be put in places at other sensitive places.
In case of stalking, harassment, teasing or any unwarranted advances by the delinquents, the girl students are requested to contact nearby female police personnel for instant assistance.
This step to deploy all women flying squads was initiated as some victims feel uncomfortable to talk on such sensitive issues with opposite gender. This endeavor is a part of some initiatives to be taken by police to sensitize the society about the dignity and honor to be extended to ladies.
