Withdraw PSOs from un-authorised persons: DIG

RAJOURI: Asking all the police officers to ensure that fool proof security is maintained along with minimised pendency of inquest proceedings, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Rajouri Poonch Range, Ashok Kumar Attri has directed district police authorities of Rajouri to remove PSOs from all the unauthorised people, who are not entitled for keeping PSO with them.
As per a press note, DIG A.K Attri on Saturday held a review meeting of Rajouri Police in which SSP Rajouri, AdSP Rajouri, AdSP Nowshera, all SDPOs and SHOs took part. After taking an overall review of the Rajouri Police functioning, DIG issued directions for all the officers to ensure that pendency in all the inquest proceedings remain at minimum level and to also ensure that beat system is maintained properly.
DIG A.K Attri also directed police officers to conduct a detailed physical verification of Village Defence Committees especially the weapon and ammunition given to them and also emphasises on border posts directing all the SHOs to make border posts in their jurisdictions fully functional.
After taking review of OGWs, surrenders and other miscreants, present in police record, DIG asked the police officers to keep a proper track record of the said persons and to keep close vigil on their movement so that any untoward attempt on their part is foiled. He also asked officials to speed up the search of people missing so as to trace them at the earliest besides taking more stringent measures to check the menace of bovine smuggling.
While taking a brief review of PSOs allotted to people in the district, DIG Rajouri Poonch Range, A.K Attri asked District SP to remove SPOs from all those people who are not entitled to keep the same.
