RSS’s ‘Sangh Shiksha Varg’ concludes

JAMMU: The two-week long ‘Sangh Shiksha Varg’ (general) organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Jammu and Kashmir concluded here on Monday.
The closing ceremony was held at the Heritage School, Sainik Colony, Jammu where the Sangh Shiksha Varg was started on June 9, in which a total of 146 students from all 19 districts of Jammu Kashmir participated from the point of view of the Sangh, attained the training to work for the organisation and the society by staying away from their homes for a period of two weeks.
In the series of training classes organised by the RSS likewise every year in summer, during the closing ceremony, Mukul Kanitkar, member of the All India Executive of the Sangh, was the keynote speaker and retired Director of Agriculture Department Kamal Kishore Sharma was the Chief Guest.
On the occasion, Provincial Sanghchalak Dr Gautam Maingi, Sarvadhikari of Sangh Shiksha Varg Surendra Mohan and Varg Karyavah Ajay Kumar were also present.
Addressing the volunteers, the chief speaker Mukul Kanitkar said that the Sangh’s centenary is falling next year and it is not necessary that the Sangh will organize major celebrations but expansion of the ‘Sangh’ and its strengthening will be the best way to celebrate the great occasion.
He said that the opportunity to complete 100 years of ‘Sangh Parivar’ in the nation building in its geographical and social terms, everything was possible only through dedication for which the volunteers give their time and that is why today the RSS has become the world’s largest organisation.
Therefore, the resolution to devote more time on the occasion of the centenary is the best way to celebrate it, said Kanitkar adding that thousands of volunteers are full time connected as centenary vistarak and apart from the youth, people retired from their services, are also giving their time in the strengthening of the ‘Sangh’ and its ideologies.
Kanitkar further added that along with time, the medium of dedication is also the manifestation of volunteerism in one’s family and life.
For this, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat has called for five changes in his speech on Vijayadashmi Utsav, he added.
“Social harmony for the ideal of an exploitation-free, equal society, family enlightenment for the promotion of cultural values of the family, India’s unique contribution to the world, awakening of environmental consciousness, going beyond Swadeshi and reviving our system on the basis of self and following civic duties, the volunteers are making individual and collective efforts to bring these five into practice,” he said. He stated that the students have already found this discipline and sanskar in the teachings of the classes, which has to be carried forward to all the branches, family and the society.
Kanitkar said that the Constitution of India has been propounding and implementing the principles of ‘Hindutva’ since its inception and in Jammu and Kashmir, the complete implementation of that Constitution has started since the last five years. “We all have experienced the changed situation due to the free environment and opportunities created by it. The backward classes of the society were deprived of special provisions of the state but now they are getting the rights and opportunities granted by the Constitution, said Kanitkar adding that with the investment coming with enthusiasm from all over India and the world, new steps of progress and development are being realized in the crown state of Mother India.
Kanitkar, while referring to the cowardly terrorist incidents that took place in Jammu and Kashmir this month, said, “the existing challenge once again has been highlighted but it is our resolve that with our organized efforts, we will not let these disruptive forces succeed.”
He said that Dr. Hedgewar had understood before independence that freedom cannot be permanent without a characterful and organized Hindu society, adding, “for this reason, initially, organization for the sake of organization was the main ‘mantra’ of the Sangh. But the Sangh has also been facing the natural and enemy-created challenges facing the country and society.” At the time of independence, during the first attack from the neighboring country, the volunteers did amazing service even during the war situation by helping the Air Force in removing the snow at the Srinagar airport and this cooperation continued even in the Kargil war, he made a reference. He said that the volunteers of the Sangh started the work of organization in whatever field of life they worked in, which gave birth to various fields. “The organization work at present is being done by the volunteers in almost every field and the best organizations of that field have been formed,” he added.
Kanitkar said that the power generated by the organization is expected to be used to solve the problems of the society and for this purpose, the Sangh has directly started six activities.
“Unique projects of service have also been started. The number of service projects running through the Sangh’s Seva Vibhag and Seva Bharati is more than 1.5 lakh. No other institution or organization in the world has such a large service work,” he claimed. He said that the next step is to change the system and not only the government system but also the systems of the society have to be streamlined.
“For the last more than a decade, we have been continuously trying to create a harmonious social system by establishing a place of worship, a drinking water system and a crematorium in the village. Fulfilling civic duties is also a step in this direction,” said Kanitkar adding that along with creating a system for system change, it is also important to make the mind of the society and create discussions and for this, the work of ideological enlightenment is also necessary.
The chief guest of the program, retired Director, Agriculture Department, Kamal Kishore Sharma said that the hard work and perseverance of the volunteers and their self-confidence will surely take them to the pinnacle of success.
Earlier, in the closing programme, Sangh volunteers presented 45-minute demonstrations of Ganasamata, Padavinyas, Niyyuddha, Danda-Sanchalan, Dand Yudh, Games, Yogasana and Collective Equality.
