Winning start by J&K women in T20

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir registered a big eight-wicket against Chhattisgarh in the first match of the Senior Women Twenty20 Tournament, being held under the banner of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at RCA Academy in Jaipur.
As per the reports reaching here, batting first, after winning the toss, Chhattisgarh made 112 runs for six wickets. Yashi Pandey remained top scorer with unbeaten 52. For J and K, Bushra Ahsraf secured two wickets while Sarla Devi and Sandhya Sayal shared apiece each.
In reply, J and K attained the goal of 113 runs in 17.4 overs for the loss of two wickets. Anju Devi played brilliant innings of 67 runs studded with 11 boundaries. Sarla Devi played unbeaten innings of 35 runs including four hits to the fence.
Meanwhile, the J and K Cricket Association complimented the team for making it a winning start in the national event
