JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir made a winning start when they outplayed Goa in the league round of the 65th Senior National Basketball Championship being held at Sukhadia Indoor Stadium, Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
As per the reports reaching here, Shubham Sharma played a key role in J and K win contributing highest 21 points while Iqbal and Salinder Singh contributed 16 and 10 points respectively. J and K defeated Goa 63-23 with half time score being 42-09.
Important to mention here that the winning team in this event, supported by IMG-Reliance, take home Rs one lakh cash prize while the runners-up shall get Rs 75,000.
