Wildlife Deptt captures leopard

BHADARWAH: Acting swiftly on an information, officials of Wild Life Department caught a leopard at Bhopa Pul locality in Bhagwah Tehsil of Distt-Doda.
Wild Life Warden Kishtwar Division, Pankaj said that we received several complaints from the local residents about the presence of leopard, who attacked and killed their cattle. The leopard, who was on a prowl in Bhagwah area for the last 15 days and had attacked several cattles, was trapped in a cage early morning at Bhopa Pul area of Bhagwah, 35km from Doda town. “Captured leopard has been sent to Kishtwar where from the animal-eater leopard will be sent to Manda Zoo in Jammu and will be kept there for the rest of his life,” Pankaj informed.
