Why so impatient?
Dear Editor,
The middle ‘how are we better?’ is a poignant tale of the mayhem caused by impatient Indians on roads. It is beyond comprehension why we are restless at traffic lights and will drive rashly to save a few seconds. Indians are known to be a religious lot and also for their tolerance. So much so, we hardly put up any resistance to the hundreds of marauders who came calling over centuries to loot us time and again. We would spend hours in religious places, chanting God’s name and listening to discourses of ‘godmen’. But these efforts have failed to uplift us as good citizens. What makes us so impatient at the wheel that we do not value life of our fellow beings, what to say of animals? The authorities should take strict action against traffic offenders.
