JAMMU: Whites Cricket Club (WCC) on Saturday defeated Media-XI by 21 runs in T-20 friendly cricket match.
WCC Captain, Deepu, after winning toss elected to bat first. WCC scored a mammoth 185 runs in 20 overs by losing four wickets.
The friendly cricket match was organized by Vivek Sharma, Ranji Trophy selector at Country Cricket Academy Amb Ghrota. Ravi scored highest 53 runs in 29 balls, while Bindu scored 48 runs in 29 balls and Shubam contributed with 45 runs.
For Media XI, Vicky took two wickets by giving 29 runs in 4 overs, while Akash and Lucky took one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Media XI scored only 164 runs with the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
For Media XI, Ranjeet was the highest scorer with 68 runs in 66 balls, while Amit scored 15 runs in 5 balls. Akash scored 35 runs.
For WCC, Rohit clinched two wickets by giving 21 runs in 3 overs, while Deepu and Ravi took one wicket each.
Advocate Syed Majid Shah was the Chief Guest, while Rajiv Pandita, Working Committee member, JKCA, was the Guest of Honour. Altaf Hussain maintained the scoreboard.
