Dear Editor,
Public Health Engineering Department has still failed to supply drinking water to Durga Nagar Colony, regarding which it had recently been brought to the notice of Chief Engineer PHE through the medium of your esteemed paper; perhaps the authorities have become habitual to give a deaf ear to public grievances.
I am forced to purchase water from the use of my family every weak through tankers and am spending Rs. 500 for each small tanker like other inhabitants living in this colony. After all for how long employees of PHE can afford to pay water for their use had they been in my place. I request that immediate steps be taken to solve this problem to avoid mass protests by all the residents of this area. After all everybody is paying heavy yearly charges for the water supply.In this Corona times, I am avoiding to come personally for this purpose otherwise many of us would have approached you personally.
