SRINAGAR: Waseem Raja of Government Degree College Magam bagged the inter-college Cross Country gold of University of Kashmir. The event was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, here.
Silver medal went to Aijaz Ahmad of GDC Kangan while Javeed Bashir of GDC Magam finished third. Earlier, around 100 college going athlete from affiliated colleges of KU took part in the Cross Council event, a handout issued by the KU here today informed.
Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal appreciated the efforts of Directorate of Sports for holding activities on a regular basis. He presented medals to the winners and lauded the efforts of other participants. Vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Harbinder Singh, senior coach of the Department.
The event was supervised and coordinated by Sheikh Adil and Surjit Kour.
