SURNKOT: People from Surankot area of Poonch District on Tuesday accorded warm farewell to DySP Ajay Sharma, who has been transferred from the post of SDPO Surankot. Farewell parties were organised in different villages of Surankote including Draba, Marhote, Bufliyaz, Chandimarh whereas Transporters Union of Surankote also gave farewell to DySP Ajay Sharma. While addressing during the farewell programmes, prominent people of Surankote said that during his tenure as SDPO Surankote, DySP Ajay was having quite tough challenges against him which included flood situation in Surankote and peaceful conduct of parliamentary and Assembly polls but he overcame these challenges and served the area with his tireless efforts. Later, outgoing SDPO Ajay Sharma appreciated the cooperation imparted by the people of the area and appealed locals to keep cooperating with the police in the similar way.
