Dear Editor,
Lt General JFR Jacob was a highly decorated soldier of our country. He was one of the best Generals who served as the Chief of Staff of the Indian Army’s Eastern Command during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. He will always be remembered for his negotiation of the surrender of Pakistani troops following the 1971 Liberation War.
