Modi government has ended about 200 obsolete Britian era rules and laws and has thus removed the stigma of colonial era in total .Now Modi has repealed Indian penal code ,criminal procedure code and Indian evidence act and made three laws in their place .The parliament has made three criminal laws of Bharatiya Naya Sanhita,Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya bills and these bills will now get the approval of president and will become laws .It is for the first time that Indian parliament is legislating to frame the criminal laws that have the Bharatiya soul ,body and thought and thus the signs and symbols of the British era are being erased and Indian color is being given to the criminal legal system .With the end of the three British laws ,speedy justice will be given top priority which is a big asset for the country and its people .Further the new Indian criminal laws will end the tareek par tareekh era which was causing much delay in the deliverance of justice and thus the speedy trial of cases was the first causality and it harmed the interests of the litigants and they were forced to undergo tareek pa tareek which was so cumbersome ,lethargy and time consuming and justice was being delivered after undergoing long periods of litigation .Now with the new criminal and other laws the tareek pa tareek era will be given a goodbye and it will lead to the speedy delivery of justice .Home minister Amit shah said that the framing of the new criminal laws will help the country leapfrog from 19th to 21st century .Once these new criminal laws are implemented there will be end of tareek pa tareek era and the litigants and the public will feel relief and will feel sigh of great relief .For the first time in the legislative history terrorism has been defined and made a cognizable offense and this is a very big development and not an ordinary thing for a country facing the threat of terrorism from the last over three decades .The new criminal laws will help to a vast extant to curb militancy in the country .Now Rajdroh has changed into Deshdroh and stringent provisions have been framed against those working against the country .Once the new criminal laws will be implemented entire process from registration of FIR up to the judgment will be online and will be digitized and the end beneficiary will be the common Indian .The litigants will be saved to attend the courts for pretty long periods and thus the time consuming legal process will come to an end once the new criminal laws are implemented. The intent of the three new criminal bills is to provide justice rather than to punish people which was the case even after the 75 years of freedom as the country was being governed by the British laws .Modi government ended the seditious law enacted by the British rulers .The new laws will also ensure that all police stations and courts will be integrated and digitized and this will result in the speedy justice to the people.PM Modi said that the new criminal justice bills mark end of colonial era laws and it is a watershed development in country’s history .The new criminal laws are people centered and welfare centered as well as service centered .Through the framing of new criminal laws ,we have bade goodbye to the provisions of the seditious law which was in force for the last 75 year’s even after freedom of the country .Parliament gave its nod to Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,Bharatiya Nagarik Sanhita and Bhartiya Syaksha Adiniyam .These bill have replaced Indian penal code 1860,Code of criminal Procedure 1898 and Indian Evidence Act of 1872 respectively .These bill mark the end of colonial era and have given Indian and indigenous color to the criminal laws governing the country .In fact a new era has begun with the new criminal laws that are service and welfare centered .The new bills are a testimony to India’s determination to transformation and will result in the transformation and thus provide speedy justice to the people .These new bills will ensure justice to the poor ,marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society .Moreover ,the new bills will come down heavily on organized crime and terrorism as it is for the first time that terrorism was defined and stringent punishment envisaged for the terrorists and militants .Modi said in the Amrit Kaal the reformative changes in the criminal laws will result in speedy justice and make laws relevant to the society .The repealing of the colonial era criminal laws and their replacement with the new Indian laws will definitely end the colonial era and give Indian color and tinge to the criminal laws and make the laws useful to the people .The extra ordinary development of the substitution of the Indian criminal laws will end the Tareek pa tareek era and this will in fact be a biggest development and the people will feel a sigh of relief by framing the three new laws .In short the three new criminal laws will give a death blow to the colonial laws and it will remove the signs and symbols of British colonial era.
